News for Mexico Real Estate: 2 New Flights Announced from US & Paris
Last update 03 November, 2011
To start, Air France will offer the Paris-Cancun route three times weekly on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays.
In fact, the governor also stated that ticket booking data shows that between now and the end of April 2012 there are already more than 60,000 tickets purchased, which equates to a 90% passenger capacity and translates to a huge success for Mexico and the airline.
In the last few weeks two new flights have been announced from the US and Paris to Mexico. The low-cost Mexican airline VivaAerobus has begun to offer flights from its hub in Monterrey, Mexico to Chicago's Midway Airport, while the first Air France flight into Cancun from Paris arrived in Mexico real estate earlier this week.
In addition to the new Chicago flight, VivaAerobus also lands in Las Vegas, Miami, Orlando, San Antonio and Houston, making this the airline's sixth US destination. At this point the Chicago flights will take place twice each week, but they are scheduled to increase to three times each week during the peak season. VivaAerobus operates a fleet of all-Boeing 737-300 aircraft and is co-owned by RyanMex and Mexico's IAMSA.
“At VivaAerobus we are making great strides in our expansion into the US market,” said the company's CEO Juan Carlos ZuaZua. “These actions help us solidify our offering and commitment to our users, servicing them with the best routes and the most affordable prices in the market.”
Air France is also operating the modern Boeing 777-300 aircraft on its flights from Paris to Cancun. The first flight was received this week by Quintana Roo governor Roberto Borge Angulo, who emphasized the importance of the new route, which will serve as a link between all of Central America and Europe. To start, the airline will offer three weekly flights on Wednesdays, Fridays and Saturdays.
There have already been more than 5,000 ticket sales for October and November of 2011, with 80% of the buyers coming from France and the rest from Germany, Poland and Holland. In fact, the governor also stated that ticket booking data shows that between now and the end of April 2012 there are already more than 60,000 tickets purchased, which equates to a 90% passenger capacity and translates to a huge success for Mexico and the airline.
