New Direct Flight Connects Russia with Cancun Real Estate
Last update 06 December, 2011
The Mexican Caribbean is the first region in Latin American to receive a direct flight from Russia.
In fact, the Russian market has become increasingly important for Mexico's tourism industry, which has experienced a more than 40 percent increase in the number of Russian visitors since January of 2011, as compared to the same period last year.
A new direct flight that connects Moscow and Cancun has started to operate, making it easier than ever for travelers from around the world to reach Mexico's sunny Riviera Maya region in the Mexican Caribbean. The Mexican Ministry of Tourism reported recently that the new flight was arranged as part of its current market diversification program, which aims to boost international travel coming into the region over the months and years ahead.
Russian airline Aeroflot will be conducting the new flights, which will land at Cancun's International Airport directly after leaving Moscow's Sheremetyevo Airport. The airline is the third new air transportation company to commence operations in Cancun real estate over the last year, following in the footsteps of both British Airways and Air France. The Mexican Caribbean is the first region in Latin American to receive a direct flight from Russia. Previously, Aeroflot only offered flights in the region to Havana and Punta Cana.
The new Cancun route will run every 10 days and can carry up to 338 passengers at a time using an Airbus 330, which will provide a nice boost for tourism in the region. In fact, the Russian market has become increasingly important for Mexico's tourism industry, which has experienced a more than 40 percent increase in the number of Russian visitors since January of 2011, as compared to the same period last year.
It is expected that the diversification of connectivity that is provided by the new flights will also have a positive impact on Cancun real estate throughout the region. As access increases, making it easier than ever for travelers from around the world to reach Mexico's Riviera Maya, it is only natural that the local Cancun real estate market will experience a boost, attracting new investors and vacationers who are interested in purchasing property in the region.
